Welcome to the website of Leicester's ISKCON temple.

ISKCON is also known as "the Hare Krishna movement" and is dedicated to spreading the teachings of Lord Caitanya, an incarnation of Krishna (God) who appeared in the 15th Century, and made devotion to Krishna available to everyone through the process of harinam sankirtan - singing and dancing in praise of the Lord. The founder of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada, brought these teachings from India to the Western world in the 1960's.
